Time is taken to wean our foals at Cheverellfield. They are weaned naturally when the foal is independent from the dam., this may take time but we feel this is rewarded by a more relaxed and confident youngster. It never ceases to amaze us how our youngsters play together . We have listed here some of our youngsters which we hope you will find interesting.
Shown as a yearling Duke has continued to mature into a striking liver chestnut gelding. Not shown this year but we have plans to show him again as a three year old. He has tremendous movement and a lovely top line with an excellent length of rein. He should make a top ridden contender.
He did well in his first year of showing including wins for Yearling Welsh B and PUK Small Breeds.

Harry is a superb pony. He has fabulous confirmation and action coupled with the most delightful temperament. Shown this year as a a three year old he has taken many championships in hand. He is a genuine HOYS or Olympia prospect. He has an exquisite head and bold eye, fabulous top line and straight extravagant movement. Even judges have commented how they look forward to seeing him under saddle.

Boris not only is lovely to look at but he has the most amazing temperament. He had exquisite looks as a foal and has grown on into a lovely stamp of a lead rein first ridden pony. Nothing fazes this little dapple grey gelding. Broken ready to start his ridden career he should do very well in the show ring.

Desmond was born on the day of the Grand National.. He has grown on to be tall with a lightweight frame. He has bounds of energy and loves to play. With his breeding and enthusiasm he should make a striking performance pony.

Missy is out of our champion broodmare Jananda Royal Contessa. She is a lovely youngster with fabulous movement. She has a delightful temperament ideally suited to lead rein or first ridden. Missy has won many times at county level in hand and was placed at the PUK Championships. We feel she should have the opportunity of a ridden career before perhaps being used as a broodmare.
